Ingenious Politics or Genuine Leadership

Just when I said that it would be hard to pin the failed response to Hurricane Katrina on President Bush, the President went ahead and did something that I never expected -- He took responsibility. At worst, this is just political ingeniousness, after his approval rating plummeted. At best, the American people are witnessing true leadership. No passing the buck, no excuses, just a leader finally doing a leader-like thing and accepting accountability. Naysayers and supporters will weigh in I'm sure but for now, whatever his motivation is, I'll take it. Just as long as we are better prepared next time.
